Nov 6, 2010

A major company has been fined £300,000 following the death of a worker who fell from a ladder during installation works.

BT has been fined £300,000 following the death of a worker who fell from a ladder during installation works. The engineer suffered fatal head injuries after falling from a wooden ladder at London's Canonbury telephone exchange in October 2006. The HSE found a number of issues, including failure to ensure the work at height was properly planned and that the engineer was provided with suitable access equipment.
